Ekiti State Government order opening of Schools and religious centers.

Worship Centers in Ekiti States has been directed to resume services from Friday july 17 by the Ekiti State Government in respect to agreement reached by leaders if religious organisation and the Ekiti State Government.

The state government has advice that there should be full compliance with the regulations in respect to worship activities, which includes using of facemask, washing hands and  observing a 6ft social distancing between worshippers.

Kayode Fayemi, Governor of Ekiti State, Made the announcement in a statewide broadcast on Tuesday June 30, and also announced plans of reopening schools in Ekiti State on July 20. According to him the resumption will be in phases, and it will kick off with (SS3,JSS3 and primary Six) who are preparing for their examinations.

The Governor also made an announcement they have embarked on a quick rejuvenation of schools in order  to ensure adequate facilities such as water, sanitizer, soap and other facilities to help put in safe hygienic place.

He further announced that the two largest markets in Ado Ekiti – Oja Oba and Bisi Market, will now be open to lock-up shops only, subject to compliance with protocols.

Fayemi affirmed that street trading, makeshift stalls kiosks and open display of wares in the said markets are still banned.
