I can’t enter a mosque to pray for Buhari — Sule Lamido

Former governor of Jigawa State, Dr Sule Lamido has said that he cannot pray for Buhari or advice him on the way to better the lives of Nigerians.

Speaking to BBC Hausa on the sidelines of Nigeria’s 60th Independence anniversary, Lamido stated that he cannot pray or advise someone who chased his party out of power.

He said;

You can’t say within the past 60 years of our independence that there's no progress, there is.

But, honestly, our leaders aren't taking advantage of the natural resources we've within the country to make us progress and live better.

I am from an opposition party, regardless of what proportion i really like Buhari or his cabinet, I can’t enter mosque and pray for him.

People called us [PDP] thieves and voted APC.

So, it's left for them to evaluate now.

If Buhari is doing good, they know and let him lead Nigeria forever, but if he's doing wrong, we are always there to return and takeover so as to try and do the right thing.
